Hollywood stars are reportedly in line to receive delivery by the Christian religion, as their followers prepare for a huge celebration in Jerusalem in the coming weeks.
Christians will flock to Jerusalem to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the arrival of Jesus, the most famous figure in the Bible.
But that’s only one aspect of what they’re doing to celebrate.
Christies are planning to march in the annual Feast of Tabernacles, a festival that celebrates the arrival in the Old City of the Messiah, according to the Times of Israel.
That’s the event that Jesus would have visited on his way to Jerusalem, which is located on the western bank of the Jordan River.
The New York Times reported that Hollywood stars like Reese Witherspoon, Angelina Jolie and Adam Driver are among those who have pledged to march with their Christian followers to the festival.
Other celebrities, like Will Smith, James Franco, Mark Ruffalo and John Boyega have pledged support for the event.
The New York Post also reported that Christian celebrities will be joined by other celebrities from all over the world, including Miley Cyrus and Mandy Moore, who will join hundreds of thousands of followers for the festival in Jerusalem.
“This is an opportunity to celebrate our shared faith with one another and to celebrate God’s love for us,” a statement from the church read.
“It is a time for celebration, not a time to mourn.”
The event will be held in Jerusalem’s Old City, where many of the holiest sites in Judaism are located.
The site is known as the Temple Mount and has been home to a Jewish temple since ancient times.
It was used by Jewish rulers from the time of David until Jesus was killed by Herod the Great in AD 70.
